3D Real Color Holograms
3D Color Holograms
HoloDimensions real color holograms enable a realistic 3D experience, which conveys the displayed elements not only in a bound frame of a projection surface, or by the use of simulated 3D representations such as in a virtual reality technique, but this holographic technology presents objects in a seemingly naturalistic way, which nevertheless consists only of the purest light. The holograms known from Star Wars have become reality.
We process complex information from 3D programs on holographic light sculptures, which can give the viewer a wide range of information and provide a very personal experience. The 360 ° exposure allows the viewer to walk around the hologram and experience it from all sides. Various image information can be processed in so-called flips to present changes to the object itself.
Our exposure technology makes it possible to produce natural-realistic holograms in the rendering machine from any current 3D program and even from aerial and satellite images.
Each digital hologram consists of thousands of so-called holo pixels arranged in 2 "x 2" tiles. Each tile is made up of 360,000 holopixes, each 0.71mm in size. These pixels are traversed by a Bragg grating, which makes it possible to expose holographic interference patterns to an object in real color with the aid of the additive color mixture of red, green and blue laser beams.
In contrast to rainbow holography, which we use in the highest resolutions to assure our customers' products, we produce here an object, which makes the colors look the same from every viewing angle. The hologram is then dot-by-dot imprinted into a photoactive polymer film and finally laminated to a carrier layer of acrylic. In order to be able to see it, it is illuminated with a punctiform light source made of pure white light. The hologram appears.
After a master has been exposed, copying can be made easily for this purpose in a simple manner.
Orientation Formats and Model Set-up
Floor Mount Format
The “Floor mount format sits on a flat surface, like a physical model, and is lit from above. The floor mount format is often used in place of a rapid proto-typing or physical model and can be viewed in 360 degrees. Depth scales can be varied according to the hologram size, and for a 2 foot square hologram, imagery can generally have a 14”-20” depth. Imagery can float up to 10” above and can recede into the hologram up to 10” at the same time (like it’s receding into the table surface).Hogel plane can be placed anywhere on the model according to needs of scale and clarity, and can extend approximately 10” above and below the hogel plane before beginning to lose strong definition.
Wall Mount Format
The “Wall mount format is used for visualizing facades, sections and perspective views in 3 Dimensions. The image sits on a stand or the wall and is lit from a 45 degree angle, and the holographic image can project out of the plane about 10” and can be viewed from the sides/top etc.
Model Set Up
We call the base plane of the hologram at the level of the exposed photoactive film as a hologram plane. The object can be displayed at a height of up to 1/3 of the format diagonal from the hologram plane. This gives a maximum object height of 35cm for a format of 600 x 850 mm. The maximum size of a hologram currently lies at 1500 x 1800 mm with an object height of just under 1 meter.
360 ° Hologram "Superyacht UNDINE"
At the Superyacht "Undine" from Detleffsen & Lau, we have exposed 4 different flips which provide an insight into the interior design of the yacht.
Key Features of 3D Holograms
No glasses required - enjoy a 360-degree viewing range.
Multiple copies. Unlike physical models, you can easily reproduce multiple "leave behinds" for clients, investors and other stakeholders.
Illuminate the hologram with a simple halogen or LED light source, no special viewing equipment is required.
Portable and durable
Our holographic prints are easy to ship; the prints come with protective coatings for durability, and they can be marked on with a dry erase marker.
Our three-dimensional images are "version proof" and store flat, so you can refer to them years later — without the need for a computer or specific software.
Complex information can be displayed with brilliant detail, transparency and color — and feature greater accuracy than physical models.
Custom Options Available
Flip / Multi-image technology
We can combine up to four images in one holographic print that's viewable from different directions; for example, as an image is turned, you can show project phasing, different design alternatives, or before and after views.
Put more information into a single print — even in multiple languages — so you can overcome language barriers and communicate quickly.
